Celebrity Deaths Prompt High-Volume Of Calls To Suicide Prevention Lines
Posted by news on 6/9/2018 8:37:00 AM.

The Mental Health Association of New York is reporting a 25 percent increase in call volume compared to this time last week.

TMZ is reporting the spike in calls is likely related to the number of high profile individuals who have shared the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. Within the past week, both fashion icon Kate Spade and celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain took their own lives. The association helps those suffering find clarity and hope in moments of crisis.
