Lewis County Man Pleads Guilty In Court

A 22 year old Lewis County man was sentenced in Lewis County Court after he pleaded guilty in connection with a fire that damaged three downtown Lowville buildings in 2016.

Douglas Tuttle was sentenced to two-and-a-half years of shock incarceration as well asone year of post-release supervision after pleading guilty in March to felony counts of third-degree manufacture of methamphetamine and fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. Tuttle along with 2 others were charged with making meth last year following an apartment house fire on South State Street in Lowville, which spread to two other buildings. A hearing is scheduled for Septemberto determine how much restitution he should pay.
